How to Declare a Major in SOAN

If you'd like to declare Sociology or Anthropology as your major, the process is fairly simple. If you haven't yet applied to George Mason, simply select your degree of choice during the application process. If you're already a student but want to become a sociology or anthropology major, follow these steps:

• First, print and fill out the Change/Declaration of Academic Program form.
• Then, have it signed by the SOAN department at Robinson Hall B, Room 305.
• Finally, submit the completed form to the Registrar's Office, located in SUB I, Room 2101 

Students interested in either Sociology or Anthropology are encouraged to stop by during office hours to meet with an advisor to complete the paperwork and learn more about the program.
