Kristina Rose honored with alumni service award

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Kristina Rose, BA Sociology '84, with the 2024 CHSS alumni service award. Rose was appointed by President Biden to serve as director of the office for victims of crime. In this role she oversees more than $9 billion in grant funding to support crime victims and survivors. Prior to her appointment, Rose led the victim care and support effort at the Department of Defense Independent Review Commission on Sexual Assault in the Military.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Blake Silver, BA English '11, with the 2024 CHSS faculty distinguished alumni award. Silver is an associate professor of sociology in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and director of educational pathways & faculty development in the Honors College. He also serves as the director of the education and health research hub in the Center for Social Science Research.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Christopher Stokes, BA Sociology '03, with the 2024 Distinguished Alumni award in sociology and anthropology. Stokes is president and general manager of Eli Lilly and Company UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe. He leads Lilly’s commercial business operations in six countries, across the company’s current and emerging portfolio in diabetes, oncology, immunology and neuroscience.
