Kellie Wilkerson is a PhD student of sociology at George Mason University. She currently serves as a graduate research assistant at the Center for Social Science Research (CSSR) and has had the opportunity to work on projects with the Institute for Immigration Research (IIR) at Mason. Her research interests include applied sociology and evaluation research, globalization, international higher education, and quantitative methodology.

Kellie finished her MA degree in public sociology at Humboldt State University with emphases in both practicing and teaching sociology in 2020. There she explored the role study abroad participation played in the creation of global citizenship utilizing both quantitative, qualitative and geospatial analyses, and hopes to continue unpacking experiences with international higher education. She received her BA in sociology from the University of Tampa in 2018, where she had a concentration in applied sociology and developed an interest in studying globalization through micro experiences.
