Isabella Burns is a doctoral student of Sociology at George Mason University.

Her goal is to research inequalities amongst different demographics in the public education system to remove some of the systemic barriers that remain for many individuals, despite access to free public education. The purpose of her research would be to enact policy change to create more equitable environments. 

Prior to beginning the Ph.D. program, she spent 2 years as an early intervention literacy instructor.
