Sam is a first-year MA student in sociology with a background in language learning and language teaching. He has experience teaching English as a Second Language in central Kentucky middle schools and English as a Foreign Language in Normandy, France. His research interests include: the intersection of English as a Second Language and Special Education instruction, nationalism, accessibility of language education, transnational migrant families, ethnolinguistic identities of migrant students, critical pedagogy, and French sociolinguistics.
