Nutrition

How people eat has important effects on their health so there's lots of interest in getting people to eat better. Health industries and public interest groups need people who understand the cultural patterns that help determine how different communities—here and abroad—relate to food and how they eat. A major in anthropology with a minor in nutrition will distinguish your resume and help to make you a valuable partner in careers related to public health. Or, if you continue within anthropology, your minor in nutrition will be an asset in fields such as bioarcheology. And the bringing together of social and natural sciences will provide you with more holistic perspectives in wherever your interests take you.
