Geographic Information Systems
Businesses, non-profits and government rely on a "big data" in their decision making, and an important way that data gets collected, organized and expressed is geographically. But all that data also requires interpretation, through the kind of knowledge of cultures and communities that your anthropology degree provides. A geographic information systems minor will introduce you to the systems and practices for the geographic organization and presentation of data. You can use that knowledge in further anthropological research. But you won't need to continue in anthropology to find this minor useful. A resume that demonstrates your academic accomplishments in anthropology and geography will make you an attractive employee in any field that needs people to interpret or shape the collection of geospatial data.
