At the U.S. Department of Education, in the Office of State Support, Rachel analyzed education policy briefs from prominent think thanks, examined state data for Title I schools and staffed the Negotiated Rulemaking sessions for the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Helping excavate the former home of President George Washington

Samantha interned at Mount Vernon as a Mount Vernon Archaeological Intern where she worked within the lab and on the excavation of the Slave Cemetery. Within the lab, she helped research artifacts and worked with the volunteers to wash, bag, label, and photograph items.
