MA in Anthropology

Nevia Pavletic

Nevia is interested in the anthropology of health, illness, and the body.  She received a BA in sociology (summa cum laude) from the University of Maryland, College Park. After graduating, she was awarded a fellowship to pursue research at the National Institutes of Health. As an intern at PATH, she authored a literature review on community perceptions of malaria in sub-Saharan Africa. She is also the coauthor of several publications that have been published in peer-review journals. Upon graduating, Nevia hopes to pursue a career in global health. Her language skills include Serbo-Croatian/Bosnian and French.
