Sociologist Dr. Heather Hurwitz will be giving a presentation entitled ""Are we the 99%?": Occupy Wall Street, Inequalities, and the Cultures of Protest in Global Cities" on Tuesday, Nov 15, 10:30-11:45, Johnson Center 325 (Meeting Room A).  Sociology and Anthropology faculty and students are invited to attend her talk.  Dr. Hurwitz’s current research focuses on the Occupy Wall Street Movement, global feminism, and activism using new social media. Dr. Hurwitz received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2015 and is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Barnard College Columbia University in the department of Sociology and the Athena Center for Leadership Studies.
