NSF Grant Writing Workshop

The workshop will focus on strategies for writing successful grants and will be led by: 

Dr. Roberta Spalter Roth, is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Social Science Research and an affiliate faculty member in the GMU Sociology and Anthropology Department.  She is also a Senior Research Fellow at the American Sociological Association (ASA), where she was director of the Department of Research for 17 years. She is PI on several NSF grants currently and more than 15 years of experience in securing NSF grants.

Dr. Jeffrey Mantz is assistant professor of anthropology and has served for 3 years as a program office at NSF in cultural anthropology in the Division of Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences. He has also been received NSF awards for his research. 

The workshop is open to graduate students and faculty in CHSS.
