Presenters:
Whitney Owen, PMP is the Executive Director of UBC, where she leads a team of seasoned consultants to identify and capitalize on opportunities for innovation, planned and structured growth, and increased effectiveness across George Mason University. Whitney was the lead project manager for Mason’s Safe Return to Campus effort during the COVID-19 crisis, ensuring that critical voices across Mason came together to plan for public health and operational needs on tight timelines. She is currently overseeing the implementation of Mason’s FY23-FY27 Strategic Plan. Prior to joining Mason, Whitney was the Director of the Health & Human Services Market at LMI, where she led a $40M portfolio and a 150-person team supporting healthcare clients across the federal government. She holds a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University and a B.S. in International Affairs from Georgia Tech. Whitney is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and ScrumMaster, and was certified in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being through George Mason University. In her free time, she enjoys watching her boys play baseball, volunteering with local organizations, and playing with her family’s black lab puppy, Peyton.
Minh Le joined Mason in early 2023 and is currently a Senior Consultant within UBC. Minh brings a breadth of project and change management knowledge from a variety of experiences in the higher education, healthcare, and hospitality industries. Prior to joining GMU, Minh was with George Washington Medical Faculty Associates where he worked as a project manager focusing on improving patient outcomes, opening new clinics, and streamlining operational and financial processes. Minh has also worked abroad for nearly a decade at New York University Abu Dhabi and at Marriott Hotels in their London office working on large-scale transformation and global change management projects. Minh’s prior consulting experience includes an 8-year career at Accenture and KPMG with a focus on IT implementations and dispute advisory respectively. Minh received his MBA from Georgetown University and his B.S. degrees in Economics and Management Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Life Coach, Prosci Change Management Practitioner, Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Certified Practitioner. In his free time, Minh is a Padi scuba instructor and loves taking his rescue dog from Abu Dhabi out to the many parks around Northern VA.
Silke Vrouletis is currently a Consultant with UBC. Before joining Mason, Silke worked in higher education at Virginia Tech, where she was part of the Advancement Division and took part in an initiative working to achieve 22% alumni participation by the end of fiscal year 2022. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from City College of New York, where she focused her undergraduate research on Burnout and Depression in Austrian School Teachers. She received her Master’s in Applied Industrial-Organizational Psychology here at Mason, and is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). In her free time, Silke enjoys creating new recipes influenced by countries all around the world.
