Covers basic principles of research methods for sociology. The focus of this course is on learning how to interpret and design social science research studies. Students will learn the role of theory in research, research ethics, concept measurement, surveys, interviews, observational methods and more. The course guides students to identify research questions, design research strategies, and develop a research proposal.
