Sociology PhD Student on ASA Contingent Faculty Task Force

Sociology Ph.D. candidate, Marisa Allison, has been selected to serve on the American Sociological Association's Contingent Faculty Task Force. Marisa was the lead author of "Indispensable but Invisible," a 2013 report that investigated the working conditions of contingent faculty at GMU. She currently works part-time as the Director of Research for the New Faculty Majority Foundation while completing her dissertation research and is a founding member of the Mason Coalition of Academic Labor. She will serve on the task force for a three year term ending in 2019.
