Sociology professor Les Kurtz is working with Alexandra Johnson, an Office of Student Scholarship, Creative Activities, and Research (OSCAR) research assistant, doing a literature review and developing a Zotero library on "Gods and Bombs," a social history of religion and the rhetoric of violence. Getting through scholarship on the ancient Hebrew narratives in the Torah and the Hindu Bhagavad Gita, she's now turning her attention to the medieval Crusades.
