Well-known Palestinian activist Bassem al-Tamimi spoke to our "Violence Peace and Conflict" class about his organizing of weekly nonviolent protests of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. He has been arrested multiple times, including one time when he spent 3 years under "administrative detention" without trial because of his organizing.
