Prof. Dale interviewed on Voice of America (Burmese)

Prof. John Dale was interviewed by Kyaw Zan Tha of Voice of America (Burmese) on April 18th. The 20-minute interview was translated and broadcast in Burmese to audiences within Burma (Myanmar). He discussed the significance of the United States and European Union's recent decisions to begin easing economic sanctions in Burma, and the mix of positive and negative impacts that he expects these policy changes to have on national ethnic minority groups in the country. Burma remains the site of the longest ongoing civil war in the world.

On April 26th, at 3 pm in the Meese Room of Mason Hall, the Center for Global Studies hosted a book signing event to honor the recent publication of Prof. Dale's Free Burma: Transnational Legal Action and Corporate Accountability (University of Minnesota Press, 2011).
