W.E.B. Du Bois and Alain Locke: Activism, Scholarship, and Creativity in Black American Life

SOAN is co-sponsoring the W.E.B. Du Bois and Alain Locke workshop with the Department of Philosophy on October 23, 2019 in JC 240A (9:00 AM - 4:30 PM) at George Mason University.

The workshop will consist of several presentations and discussion sessions. The first session will feature a presentation by Dr. Spencer Crew, George Mason University Robinson Professor and Acting Director of the National Museum for African American History and Culture. Co-sponsors include African and African American Studies, Cultural Studies, Economics, History and Art History, and Women and Gender Studies.
