A new study entitled "'Raced' Organizations and the Academic Success of Underrepresented Minority Faculty Members in Sociology" has recently been published in the journal Sociology of Race and Ethnicity. The journal is sponsored by the Racial and Ethnic Minorities section of the American Sociological Association.
The co-authored project was led by Roberta Spalter-Roth who is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Social Science Research and affiliate faculty member of the Sociology Department at GMU. Two of our PhD students, Jason A. Smith and Amber C. Kalb, were co-authors of the paper.
