Professor Andy Bickford has been selected to be a Faculty Fellow at the Smithsonian’s Summer Institute of Museum Anthropology (SIMA). SIMA provides time and training for faculty to develop ways to integrate museum collections into their courses and research. Prof. Bickford will focus on the museum's collections to bring a consideration of the materiality of warfare to his “War and Culture” course, and develop ways to train students to use the museum’s collections for the course and later research.
