The Students as Scholars Leadership Council has selected Gabriela Galeano as the recipient of the 1st annual OSCAR (Office of Student Scholarship and Research) Student Excellence Award. She will receive a monetary award and special recognition at the Celebration of Student Scholarship on May 7, 2013 ceremony which begins at 4:30 in the Center for the Arts. Ms. Galeano was mentored by Professor Mantz, himself one of this year's winners of the GMU Award for Teaching Excellence!
