Sociology MA Alumnus meets with President Obama and blogs for Huffington Post

Congratulations to Leo Pierson, who earned his M.A. in Sociology with us two years ago.  Since then he has been very busy.

He has been working in Cincinnati on immigration policy and so impressed the White House that he was invited (twice) to meet with President Obama. He was just accepted to the Ph.D. Program in Sociology at UC Davis (starting next Fall), and now has a regular blog column in the Huffington Post. Here is his first blog post, just posted yesterday.
