I hope your first week back has been exciting. It's been great to see familiar faces and meet some new ones! Hopefully you all have received an e-mail outlining some of the things SOAN will be doing this semester.
One thing we'd like to get done early this semester is a t-shirt design contest. We'd like to have a design unique to the SOAN department, that represents both Sociology and Anthropology. The winning design would not only be used for SOAN t-shirts, but it may be used on other things to welcome new students to GMU and SOAN.
So, we really want all to participate! The winning design will receive a $50 Visa gift card (to use for all that coffee you'll consume this semester, right?).

The DEADLINE for submissions is February 13th. We will pick the winning design and announce it during the SOAN career panel on Feb. 15th.
