Laura Prelle has joined SOAN's human rights project

Laura Prelle has joined the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at George Mason as an intern to aid with the development of its work in human rights, such as the certificate program.  She will be cultivating and maintaining relationships with human rights organizations across the Washington DC area and elsewhere as the program continues to expand.  Prior to joining George Mason, Laura received a BFA in graphic design and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Maryland Institute College of Art.  With a vision of combining graphic design, education and activism, she is currently pursuing her master's degree in peace and conflict resolution at the European Peace University in Stadtschlaining, Austria, focusing her studies on human rights issues.
