2020 Outstanding Anthropology Graduate Student Award Recipient

Born and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Katherine Sargent graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas in 2017, earning her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology.  After a year of working for the Arkansas Archeological Survey and as an archaeological field technician for a private CRM firm, Sargent began her graduate career at GMU in 2018 and is graduating this year with her Master of Arts in anthropology.  Sargent plans on beginning to pursue a PhD in anthropology (bioarchaeology) at Arizona State University next year.
