2020 OLLI Scholarship Recipient
I have spent many years working with indigenous peoples organizations and multidisciplinary research projects in the Asia-Pacific region on issues of public health, community psychology, indigenous sovereignty, and human rights. I am currently in the PhD program combined with a clinical Masters of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth Univeristy. My research interests pick up themes of trauma, history, and memory, and more specifically cultural psychodynamics, ethnopsychiatry, the psychic life of histories, and epigenetics. I hope to become a clinical practitioner and global health researcher with a focus on rights based mental health care.
