Anthropology: prehistoric warfare, skeletal trauma interpretation, burial practices, taphonomy, paleopathology, and forensic anthropology

Amanda is a U.S. Navy veteran and a native of West Virginia, where she completed her undergraduate studies. She obtained her B.A. in Anthropology and a minor in Forensic and Investigative Science at West Virginia University (WVU) in 2017. After graduating, she was offered a position as a teaching assistant for an Introduction to Human Osteology course offered through the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at WVU. She continued to pursue her interests by volunteering at Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex in Moundsville, WV. In 2018, she also completed a short course offered through Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA, for Human and Comparative Osteology.
