Heather Sinda

Sociology: Military Sociology; Social Psychology; Sociology of the Family; Gender Inequality; Work Culture and Leadership; Medical Sociology, specifically pertaining to disability studies, women's health, and maternal health

Heather Sinda received her BA in Visual Communications from the University of South Carolina before working in photojournalism, digital marketing, and event management for the military, vehicular service and sales, and hospitality.  Her fascination with military culture won over while in service to the US Army to refocus interests on the study of military sociology with George Mason.  

Heather's current mission is to complete her thesis researching military spouse identity formation and performance, with plans to acquire a MA in 2024.  Contact at hsinda@gmu.edu.
