Amber C. Kalb, M.S., is a PhD candidate in sociology and lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and the Honors College at George Mason University. She received her B.A. and M.S. in International Affairs and Religion at Florida State University with a certificate in Jewish history from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She has been published in The Sociology of Race and Ethnicity and The Review of Black Political Economy, and serves as a feature writer for the District of Columbia Sociological Society’s (DCSS) periodic magazine, The Sociologist, and guest writer for Higher Ed Jobs. Currently, she is working for the American Sociological Association (ASA) as a graduate researcher. Her primary research interests include feminist epistemology, feminist theory, the sociology of knowledge, economic sociology and higher education.
