Before this past year, the evolution of epidemic infectious diseases within modern social and biological conditions was more hypothetical than real to most students. We’ll use the Covid-19 as one case study to understand the importance of understanding diseases from evolutionary, ecological, cultural, and holistic perspectives; placing it in perspective within the human evolutionary experience.
