George Mason University has announced that its Winter Graduation will take place on Thursday, December 17, at 2:00 pm, on GMU-TV.
Following the graduation ceremony, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences will hold an event for its graduates. This will include a special recognition for our new PhD graduates at 3:30 pm. Further details will be announced soon.
All 2020 graduates, from spring, summer, and fall, are invited to participate. The Mason’s Winter Graduation will be a full graduation ceremony, more substantial than the Celebration of Graduates held in May 2020. It will include the conferral of degrees by Mason President Gregory Washington, and will feature congratulatory messages, musical performances, and speakers, including a commencement address from the Honorable Charniele L. Herring, Delegate, Virginia House of Delegates.
Graduates are reminded to monitor their email inboxes closely for a message from University Events with more information and details.
More information about the event, including important deadlines, can be found on www2.gmu.edu/graduation-2020. On this page, students can apply to graduate, check their eligibility, and order graduation regalia and other celebratory items.
