Honors and Research in Anthropology

Anthropology majors develop an eye for detail and careful observation, critical thinking, sensitivity to the unfamiliar, skills in research and writing, and an ability to describe and understand culture that is particularly valued in a globalized world.

Students have opportunities to further their studies through independent research and are encouraged to consider one of the options below:

Speak with your professors about your areas of interest and consult with the Anthropology undergraduate director, Dr. Jamie Clark, or undergraduate academic advisor Katy Hoepf about how to pursue honors in the major and/or apply credit for research to your major.
