Non-Degree

Whether you’re a high school student, visiting from another university, or thinking about a graduate degree, consider Mason’s non-degree option as a flexible fit for you.

Non-degree graduate students may take up to 10 credits of coursework each semester, and based on earned grades, can apply these credits to a future graduate degree program.

For graduate programs, a maximum of 12 credits may be considered for transfer. For undergraduates, a maximum of 18 credits may be transferred to a degree program.

For additional information on the graduate non-degree program, including admission requirements and deadlines, visit the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Non-Degree Graduate Study web-page.

For additional information on undergraduate non-degree options, please see the Non-Degree Studies page of the Admissions website.
