Anthropologist Dr. Jacob Doherty will be giving a presentation entitled: “Race to the Middle: Authenticity, Respectability, and the Feeling of Class in a Clean Kampala.” On Monday, Dec 12, 10:30 -12:00, Paul Robeson Room at Johnson Center.  Sociology and Anthropology faculty and students are invited to attend his talk. Jacob Doherty’s Research interests focus on environmental politics, urban belonging, and infrastructural violence. Dr. Doherty received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2016 and is currently a visiting assistant professor in Wesleyan University.
