Fall for the Book: Angela Hattery and Earl Smith

Sociologists Angela Hattery and Earl Smith are a dynamic researching duo. Together they have written a number of books, including their most recent title, Gender, Power and Violence. Hattery is the Director of the Women and Gender Studies Program at George Mason University. Her research focuses on social stratification, gender, family, and race. Smith is Professor Emeritus of Sociology and the Rubin Distinguished Professor of American Ethnic Studies at Wake Forest University. Some of their other influential books are The Social Dynamics of Family Violence, and African American Families Today: Myths and Realities.
