SOAN sociologists have excitedly made their way to Chicago to attend the American Sociological Association meetings. Amy Best, Johanna Bockman, Shannon Davis, Mark Jacobs, Katie Kerstetter, Les Kurtz, Jennifer Rainer, and Roberta M. Spalter-Roth are on the ASA program giving papers or acting as discussants. SOAN sociologists are also attending other related meetings in Chicago, such as Hansel Aguilar, John Dale, Abdallah Hendaway, Vali Mansouri, and Jason Smith at the Society for the Study of Social Problems meetings and Jessica Emani and Roberta Spalter-Roth at the Association of Black Sociologists meetings. Many other sociologists in SOAN and in other Mason programs are also attending the meetings to hear the most update sociological research.
